Call meeting to order:


Roll Call:
- Albany, Buffalo Gap, ECCA, Eula, Hamby, Hawley, Sweetwater, Lawn, Potosi, Roscoe, Rotan, Trent, Tye, View, Shackelford Co.


Minutes from last meeting:
- Motion to accept, 2nd by Tye, Accepted


Treasurers Report:
- Checking: $1492.88
- CD: $4419.90


Announcments:
- Nick (TFS): personnel wishing to go to A&M Fire School can apply through the TFS for tuition assistance.  Cost is for   tuition only, and does not cover lodging, food etc..
  Card was presented to members to sign for family of TFS employee who died in helicopter crash while supporting shuttle   tragedy.
- Don (M.C.): M.C. having problems with solicitors calling on emergency line.  Any depts having same problem, should call   1-866-896-6225 for solicitors originating in TX.  Outside of TX, contact Direct Marketing Assoc., PO Box 9014, Farmingdale,   NY 11735.
  Tina Patterson has had back surg again.  She is out now and doing well.
- Nick: Justin says hello, should be back to work shortly after having back surg as well.
- Hawley VFD: Community wide BBQ, July 4, 2003.  Cost is $7 per plate.
- Roscoe VFD: BBQ fundraiser, July 4, 2003.  Cost is $5 per plate.  Also will be raffleing a rifle for $1 per entry.
- Lawn VFD: City of Ovalo is currently without a fire dept.  To decrease response time, Lawn will be moving a truck to Ovalo   station.


Old Business:
- Don: motion made to have minutes from meeting mailed to depts without internet access.  Depts that do have access, can   access minutes from webpage.  Tye 2nd, passed.
  Burn Ban flags and signs are in.  Each dept will receive 1 flag and 2 sets of magnetic signs.
- Nick: Grant for Regional Training Library hit a snag.  TFS grant program not setup for Associations, and dollar amount too   high.  Suggest having an individual dept volunteer to put in grant request and lower dollar amount.  John (View) discussed   issue of where to put library if grant approved - tabled until approval.  Roscoe VFD made motion to volunteer to re-apply    for library under their name.  Eula 2nd, passed.
- John: problems with BCFFA repeater off and on during storms.  Problem needs to be looked into.  Manuf-TAIT.  Eula made     motion to have John look into problem with repeater.  Hamby 2nd, passed.


New Business:
- Depts present for meeting were issued their flag and magnetic signs.
- Don: discussed adding non-members to e-mail group.  No meeting minutes will be mailed out to non-members.  Reminded     everyone meetings are open to all.
